PA P365 Discussion starter. 785 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Aug 27, 2021. With the cost of 9mm these days, I would buy a P365 chambered in 22LR for some cost effective, realistic training. The gun would need to weigh the same as a 9mm P365 and have the same trigger pull. I'm not sure if a 22LR would have enough recoil to cycle the slide.281 posts · Joined 2020. #2 · Apr 8, 2021. Good morning sbank, I have a P365 and P365XL. I thought the triggers were pretty good right out of the box, but I like to tinker, so I installed MCARBO spring kits on both. On the P365, I swapped the trigger out to a flat trigger, like the XL already had.Jul 7, 2020 · The best would be the mostly or totally American made Trijicon RMR type 2- but it'll be slightly wider than the slide on a p365XL, which is just an aesthetic issue. The slide would need to be milled for an RMR. Or wait for the rumored Trijicon micro optic coming in late 2020. That includes boutique manufacturers with prices north of $3k. Then there is the actual percentage of units with “issues” to total units sold. Sig does a great job correcting those .005% units that slip through, as do most other manufacturers. G23.5 MOS, G27.5, G32, G43, G48x MOS.And of course keeping the flat trigger in the P365 with the XL grip module. This would accomplish making it into an 'X' at no cost. The second 'XL' would have an XL slide with a standard grip module but with the 12-round mag so really not much of a difference. They will absolutely wear differently. 3) Just shoot it, you`ll be fine. I wouldn`t start worrying unless you see a cracked slide, or it stops working all together. On a practical level (capacity) I prefer the P365; on every other level (aesthetics, all-metal, grips, overall quality feel) I prefer the P938. So..if you get a P365 for $500.00 and the Red Dot for $600.00 you now have an $1,100.00 P365 setup. The P365's felt recoil is less, the slide is much easier to rack, it's slightly smaller and lighter, has a better trigger than a stock Shield and it's more accurate in my hands at 7 yards. P365. I got a new P365 the other day and when I got home immediately noticed an issue (I know I should have tested at the store). Build: January 2021. Right out of the box I tested the trigger reset and noticed the slide will not rack while I have the trigger held. I've never heard of such a thing.I have 4. If the P365 is too small for your hands, then I would easily recommend the XL. The XL is a belt carry gun while the P365 has a bit more versatility with concealment due to its size. The P365 also has a more conventional striker / firing pin safety than the one in the 320. The Glock 43 is bigger than the P365 and still holds only 6 rounds. The PM9 is about the same size, but holds only 6 rounds. The P938 & LC9 are about the same size, but hold only 7 rounds. So I think a Sig .45 just enough larger than the P365 to accommodate the larger round would be pretty good. Sig seems to like 1911 pattern for .45 though. Someone mentioned recoil with a 230 grain Gold Dot in the Kahr P45.In my opinion, the P365 trigger is smooth enough. Any gains achieved by polishing will not likely show up on your target 7-15 yards away. Where and how consistently the bullet hits should be the goal, not the feel of the trigger. The P365 is a small, tight tolerance 9mm. It does need to mate the parts together for smooth and reliable operation. I would use good quality 124gr or 147gr ammo for the break-in.The main physical difference is that body of the P365 FCU uses a machined casting, as opposed to the stamped sheet metal of the P320. The P365 also has a more conventional striker / firing pin safety than the one in the 320. Pretty much since the P365 introduction I've said Sig should put the .380 into the P365 package because there is a market for a slightly larger, easier to shoot pistol than the LCP/Bodyguard type pistols. Of course many of the "solution to a problem that doesn't exist ...The X and XL series are both optic ready. Adding an optic to a std 365 requires sending the slide off for milling.
